- In putting together a preliminary layout for the second Therapist omnibus, I found an error in the epilogue of Level 99 — “autumn solstice,” an astronomical blunder that I keep tripping into despite being kind of a space nerd and historically friendly to witchy types. Gah. Well, it’s on its way to being fixed, and will be fixed in all editions going forward.
- If you’re wondering what I’m babbling about, there’s no such thing as an autumn solstice on Earth — or on fantasy planets, like this one, that borrow Earth seasons so that we don’t get bogged down with minutiae about calendars. There are summer and winter solstices, and spring and autumn equinoxes.
- My Healers-adjacent WIP rotates around seasonal festivals, so I’ve been finding and rooting out this exact error for the better part of a year.
- Just so this isn’t only an error report, here’s an interesting article from Anime News Network about the proliferation of isekai anime, with some conjecture about why it’s become so prevalent in the last few years. (I’m already going to bother the newsletter with my watch list in February, so I’ll spare them more anime nerd chitchat.)
